MW can manage the full scope of your project. A major benefit of MW is our self-performed work. Our own employees perform concrete, masonry, framing, trim, insulation, drywall, painting, and tile. Though most of our work is performed by MW forces, we are still well qualified in managing the overall project including select subcontractors.
Design-Build
MW has extensive experience with the Design-Build method of contracting. Design-Build is a method that reduces owner risk and minimizes the project schedule by overlapping the design and construction phases of the project. Design-Build is a service where MW is involved early in the process. MW is responsible for the design and construction of the project.
The majority of our projects are Design-Build due to the following benefits of this method:
- MWCS is involved early in the process with estimating. Initial budgetary values are prepared at no cost so the owner can make informed decisions on the feasibility of the project before incurring any costs.
- Design is managed by MWCS which saves time. MWCS utilizes a small number of designers that prioritize our projects due to the sheer volume we provide to them.
- Schedule is saved due to the estimating and costs being finalized concurrently with the design instead of the traditional method of design, then awaiting contractor bids, then evaluating contractor bids before project award.
- MW provides value engineering in the event of budget issues. Our team has the knowledge to provide alternatives materials and methods that can provide savings to our clients.
- MW has complete responsibility for the project so there are no conflicts between the architect and contractor for the owner to resolve.
Subcontracting
Even in the event that you elect to utilize MWCS as a subcontractor, we are willing to provide estimates and perform any of the trades we self-perform as a subcontractor.
